Open Google Sheet with variation data at: {{VARIATION_SPREADSHEET_URL}}
The spreadsheet should contain:
- Parent SKU
- Variation Theme (Size, Color, SizeColor, etc.)
- Child SKU for each variation
- Variation Attributes (Size, Color, Style, etc.)
- Price per variation
- Quantity per variation
- Images for each variation
Navigate to Amazon Seller Central.
**Step 1: Create Parent Product**
- Go to Inventory > Add a Product
- Select "Create a new product listing"
- Choose product category
- Fill in parent product information:
* **Product Identity:**
- Product ID Type: GCID or create new ASIN
- Brand name
- Manufacturer
* **Vital Info:**
- Product name (without specific size/color)
- Example: "Premium Cotton T-Shirt" (not "Premium Cotton T-Shirt - Large - Blue")
- Brand
- Manufacturer Part Number
* **Variation Theme:**
- Select appropriate theme:
* Size
* Color
* Size-Color
* Style
* Size-Style
* Other combinations
* **Images:**
- Upload main product image (representative)
- Add multiple angles
- Lifestyle images
* **Description:**
- Write general product description
- Applicable to all variations
- Don't mention specific sizes/colors
* **Key Features:** (Bullet Points)
- Features common to all variations
- Material and quality
- Care instructions
- Available in multiple [sizes/colors/styles]
* **Keywords:**
- Search terms covering all variations
- General product terms
- Brand and category keywords
* **Pricing:**
- Set as "Parent product" (no price at parent level)
* **Save as Parent Product**
**Step 2: Add Child Variations**
For each variation in spreadsheet:
- Click "Add a Variation" or go to variation tab
- Fill in variation details:
* **Child SKU:**
- Enter unique SKU from spreadsheet
- Example: SHIRT-L-BLU, SHIRT-M-RED
* **Variation Attributes:**
- Select Size: Large, Medium, Small, etc.
- Select Color: Blue, Red, Green, etc.
- Other attributes as applicable
* **Product ID:**
- UPC or EAN for this specific variation
- Or create new if registered
* **Condition:**
- New
* **Pricing:**
- Enter price from spreadsheet
- Compare-at price if running promotion
* **Inventory:**
- Quantity available
- Fulfillment channel (FBA or FBM)
* **Images:** (Important for visual variations)
- Upload variation-specific images
- Show actual color/style if applicable
- Minimum 1000x1000 pixels
- White background for main image
* **Variation-Specific Details:**
- Size dimensions (if size variation)
- Color name (exact)
- Material differences (if any)
- Weight and package dimensions
* **Save Variation**
- Repeat for all variations in spreadsheet
**Step 3: Review and Verify**
- Check variation relationship is correct
- Verify all variations show on parent listing
- Test variation selector on product page:
* Size dropdown works
* Color swatches display
* Images change with selection
* Price updates correctly
- Ensure inventory is accurate for each
- Check all required fields completed
- Review variation images quality
**Step 4: Optimize Variation Display**
- Set variation images as swatches (for color)
- Ensure logical ordering (S, M, L, XL)
- Add A+ Content mentioning available options
- Create variation-specific keywords
- Set up automatic pricing rules if needed
**Common Variation Themes:**
- **Size:** Clothing, shoes (S, M, L, XL, etc.)
- **Color:** Any product with color options
- **Size-Color:** Shirts, pants, etc.
- **Style:** Different designs of same product
- **Flavor:** Food and supplements
- **Scent:** Beauty and household products
- **Count:** Pack sizes (1-pack, 3-pack, 6-pack)

- Keep parent title generic
- Use consistent attribute values
- High-quality images for each variation
- Accurate inventory for each
- Competitive pricing per variation
- Test buying experience
- Monitor variation performance
